Blackmagic Design CONVMASA Overview

The Mini Converter SDI to Analog 4K from Blackmagic Design allows you to convert Single Link SD/HD/3G/6G-SDI to analog SD/HD component, composite, or S-Video. The down-converter lets you to connect professional SDI equipment which outputs resolutions up to Ultra HD 4K (3840 x 2160) and DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) with SD and HD analog video monitors and other equipment. With a compact form factor and easy-to-use controls, the Mini Converter is ideal for a variety of broadcast, post production, and professional AV applications.

Using 6G-SDI technology, the Mini Converter supports resolutions up to UHD 4K at up to 30 fps and DCI 4K at 24 fps. The Mini Converter also supports Single Link SD, HD, and 3G-SDI signals and automatically detects the input video format and instantly changes. A redundant SDI input is provided as an optional back up, and an SDI loop-through output is available for sending the SDI signal to an additional device. Up to 16 channels of de-embedded SDI input audio can be outputted as AES/EBU digital audio or balanced analog audio output via 1/4" output jacks.

The Mini Converter's settings are controlled using the built-in DIP switches or via USB using the included software for Max OS X or Windows computers. The USB port also enables the firmware to be updated. For powering the device, a 12V power supply is included with international socket adapters.

Blackmagic Design CONVMC Overview

The Mini Converter SDI to Audio 4K from Blackmagic Design allows you to de-embed four channels of analog audio or eight channels of AES/EBU digital audio from any SDI video signal. Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Overview

Supporting up to 12G-SDI data rates with intelligent heat dissipation, and offering features such as XLR connections and an Ethernet control and PoE port, the Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 12G Converter, from Blackmagic Design, is a highly improved solution for rack-mount as well as cable duct and desktop installations. Connect up to a Full 4K DCI 4096x2160p SDI signal and run it out to an HDMI display in the same DCI 4K resolution, and monitor the signal locally via an SDI loopout. You can also de-embed audio from the signal and route it separately via full-size XLR connectors that are switchable between balanced analog and AES/EBU digital audio.

The compact size of the Teranex Mini makes it very useful for portable racks at live events or in broadcast trucks. Up to three units can easily be installed in an optional 1U 19" rack tray, and they can just as easily be removed, and all this with the advantage of 12G-SDI capability. The Ethernet port on the rear will allow you to manage the Teranex Mini remotely or can alternatively be used for power over Ethernet. If you don't want to use power over Ethernet, you won't have to deal with cumbersome power supplies, as the Teranex Mini features a built-in 90-240V power supply, and all you'll need is a standard IEC power cable, sold separately.

A major benefit of the Teranex Mini is that the standard front panel can be replaced with an optional Smart Panel that features a spin knob, color LCD, and six control buttons, including a menu button. The substantially large LCD will show you the video conversion in progress and will also let you monitor audio levels as well as verify timecode and the video standard being converted. The standard front panel simply comes off and the Smart Panel easily attaches in its place. When you're using the standard front panel, you'll have access to an array of mini switches that will let you change settings instantly in correspondence with a diagram printed on the converter. If you swap in the optional Smart Panel, you'll instead be able to use simple on-screen menus as well as see exactly what you're converting. Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Overview

The Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter from Blackmagic Design provides an advanced 8K monitoring solution. Its DisplayPort outputs enable you use pro monitors like the Apple Pro Display XDR as part of your on-set or post-production monitor setup. The four 12G-SDI inputs support 4K signals independently or an 8K input signal together, either DCI 8K or 8K video split into four UHD signals. It can use third-party calibration probes such as the SpectraCal C6, X-Rite i1 Display Pro, or the Klein K10-A probe to accurately align connected displays for precise color. The built-in, color LCD screen displays not only the video image, but it can also display two on-screen scopes selected from WFM, Parade, Vector, and Histogram options.

The 8K is available on the four SDI outputs, via the single USB-C DisplayPort output, or the two full-size DisplayPort outputs for monitors that support quad HDMI inputs. If you are not connected to an 8K monitoring solution, a built-in down-converter enables you to display the 8K input video on an Ultra HD or HD monitor. This unit will convert between 2SI and square division automatically. The Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR solution supports a variety of HDR workflows including PQ and HLG, and it supports both Rec. 202 and Rec. 709 as well as 100% of the DCI-P3 format. Two independent 3D LUTs can be loaded at the same time, and you can switch between them from the unit's front panel. In addition to the LCD video screen, the front of the Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter features a rotating selection knob and six front-panel buttons for navigating. Blackmagic Design CONVMCAUDS Overview

The Mini Converter Audio to SDI 4K from Blackmagic Design allows you to embed four channels of analog audio or eight channels of AES/EBU digital audio into any SDI video signal. It features a 6G-SDI input that accepts resolutions up to Ultra HD (3840x2160) and DCI 4K (4096x2160), and provides four 1/4" audio jack connectors for inputting and embedding your analog or digital audio channels. The SDI signal with embedded audio is output over a single 6G-SDI connector, with the resolution and frame rate matching the original input source.

Using 6G-SDI technology, the Mini Converter supports UHD and DCI 4K resolutions at up to 30 fps. The Mini Converter also supports Single Link SD, HD, and 3G-SDI signals, automatically detecting and switching between the different
formats. A redundant SDI input is provided as an optional back up; with the converter switching over if the main SDI input is lost.

The Mini Converter's settings are controlled using the built-in DIP switches or via USB using the included software for Max OS X or Windows computers. The USB port also enables the firmware to be updated. For powering the device, a 12 VDC power supply is included with international socket adapters.

HyperDeck Studio HD Plus includes all the features of the Mini model, but is larger so it has more space for extra controls and extra connections. This model adds 6GSDI so it can record and playback ProRes up to Ultra HD 30fps, and it includes an SDI loop out and HDR support. Plus the two 6G-SDI outputs allow fill and key playback up to 1080p60. There is also an HDMI input and a dedicated 3G-SDI monitoring output with overlays.
